I wanted to see how you are doing, also tell you some great news. On the 16 of december I finally publically announced that I am a Christian. It was a wonderful and amazing baptism, wish you could have been there. I cant wait for you to come back next year. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas, and all is going well for you.

Comments: Pastor Cofty,

I just wanted to let you know that God used you as a tool to sharpen me on Tuesday November 28, 2007 at Anchor Baptist Church in Lamar. Your message on “What are we going to leave behind” is a subject the Lord has been dealing with me on for about 2 months now. I have a son, Noah (8) and a daughter, Chloe (6) and I have been hung up on getting some land and a house that I can “leave my children”. I know now that I want to leave a Godly heritage behind for them more than anything and God used your message to “anchor” that in my soul. I want to lay up treasures in Heaven Matthew 6:19-20. Thank you for being faithful to preach that particular message. I will bookmark your website and keep track of your meetings. If something changes from your posted itinerary and you get back in the Pee Dee area for a meeting, please email and let me know. I serve under my wonderful Pastor, Ted Windham, of Victory Baptist Church in Darlington SC.

A Proud American

Looking for His Return,

Paul Jenkins

Comments: "Pastor Adams, I have to tell you, that this has been probably one of the
most enduring weeks (past) that I have ever had! and I have to give glory,
and I mean glory to God for it! Truly a soul seeking week for me, to
search for my Saviour and my God...(I love it!) I'm so refreshed, alive
and full of vigor. It all started last Sunday when someone reproofed me
about a comment I made, well I took a defensive side to the comment and
sort of went off a little, well maybe more than a little.... anyways,
someone said that he sure does sound like satan really has got a hold on
him... I was scared at that very moment, and started searching where I
got off track, or what the lesson was that I should be learning..
something.. Well, I was not really sure of anything, other than that
Jesus loves me and I truly love him too! I read the Gideons Bible while I
was working, I mean while I was working, anyways the the Lord directed me
to the book of ACTS; Paul's persecution and how well he kept the faith and
did, and did, and did......... the will of God! That was it! No
matter what I do in life period! if it is not for the Lord or His will I
will not do it, and before I can do anything it must be prayed for;
guidance, strength, love, happiness, as you well know the list goes on and
on and on. Well to make a beautiful long story short, I got right on my
knees at work and I prayed, and I believe for the first time, truly from
my heart, for my love for Him, and seeking to do my Father's will; a sense
of joy came upon me and lifted me up..... I really can not explain it
better than that. Oh, I had to share that with you! would you please
forward this to Brother Chuck? I want to thank both you Pastor, and
Brother Chuck! I do not think I ever have, that is thanked you, Pastor,
for when you you were here in Manchester, and you had the classes from
your home, "The Bread, Fish, and Meat for Hungry Christians", it got me
going in the right direction.... Brother Chuck; you were a true
inspiration to me, and how the Lord worked thru you, and I am so pleased
that you were that day at Temple Baptist Church, that the Spirit moved
upon me, with such force, to be saved! I truly thank you for that!
Please keep me in your prayers, and I will keep you in mine, may the Lord
bless us all. Glory to God, Forever!!!! Sincerely, Tim Cooper"

Comments: Dear Chuck,

you made me understand Christian Life even better and I would love to stay in contact with you sir.  Your words have brought tears to my eyes which haven't cried for a long long time.  My whole life past by me those days the good and the bad I have done before I became saved.

We both have seen life and death in many occasions and we had to brush it off.  I ask you for a huge favor to say some prayers for me regarding my health and the rest of life I have left on this earth. If god wants me I am ready to face him, I know because I am saved and I believe in his word.

To hear from you made my day.

sincerely

Dear Brother Cofty,

Thank you for preaching the gospel.  Because of your preaching I got saved as an eight year old boy.  This was about twenty-two years ago at the Calvary Baptist Church in New  Bern, NC.  Since then I served four years in the Marines and when I got out God called me to preach.  I am currently attending Bible College at Berean Baptist College in Orange Park, FL.  I believe God wants me to be an Evangelist and I wish you would pray with me about that.  Words cannot express how thankful I am that you were faithful to preach that night I got saved.  I literally felt as thought I was slipping into Hell that night.

Brother it is so good to know you are still faithfully preaching God's Word.  It's so good to know that you are staying true to God's Word and have not lost your soul winning zeal.  I pray for you and your ministry almost every day.  I thank God for you and I pray that God will send many more men like you into His work.

Your Brother in the Lord,

James Young

Comments: I am a junior a Pensacola Christian College and I just wanted to say thank you to Dr. Cofty for all the times he has preached and inspired me since I have been at school. I grew so much from it and pray that God continues to bless the ministry. His support for the military is such a blessing as well. People these days seem to be so indifferent to the sacrifice they are making and Dr. Cofty knows what it takes to be one of them. Thanks so much you do for them.
Sincerely,
Anna Christina

Dear Bro. Cofty,

I can't thank you enough and my cup is overflowing.  You have also greatly encouraged my family.  I now realize that we are going forward and my children realize that the fight we are in has great giants in the faith.  No one has spoken so direct, so supportive and so positive about the positions and the "good fight."  We have sort of been isolated and folks have been hearing from you the same things I've been laying down in the foundation.  Your meeting will have strong & lasting effects.

As for 2006, I will leave it open and see if you have a cancelation.  We will be praying about that and next time you come we will have new souls there by God's grace.  But seriously, any free Sunday you have, my pulpit is open.  I could use your insight and prayers to win this place for Christ.

Thank you for talking with Amber about PCC, I want this church to grow and like you, I'll endorse that school.  I do have some concerns about their radio station but overall I am very thankful for a down to earth school that stands on the text.

Please keep me on your list, I'll part the waters on the schedule anytime.  Your visit was very timely and please send me the contact info.  for your son and any others you mentioned.  Pray for us about youth ministry and any help a church planter could use.  Your going to be regular on our prayer list.

As soon a check is made out, I'll get it in the mail.  Todd is good about getting it all together and I imagine he'll have the check ready to send Wednesday.

In Christ... Bro. Horst

Thank you for the great services and submission to God's will in presenting the Gospel here in Chicago. What a blessing it was to see several folks accept Christ as their Saviour and many others make decisions to do God's will reguardless of circumstances. Only God knows the full affect that these services will have. Praise God and God bless your life, family and ministry.

Comments: What a wonderful week of meetings God gave us May 29-June 3.  You're not supposed to
have a good meeting over a holiday weekend, but God was in it and blessed greatly.

Brother Cofty was with us for the second time, and from the outset it was clear that this would be a special week.  God blessed our Memorial day service as never before.  God used Brother Cofty's military record to help us draw many veterans to the service.  God's hand was on his preacher and seven were saved in the morning and eight total for the day.   Some of those saved were folks we had prayed for.  Each night was special.  God used Brother Cofty's steel and velvet approach to minister to both the saved and the lost.  Two observations stick out in my mind. First, people respond to love.  Everybody that knows Chuck Cofty knows that he preaches a straight, unapologetic line.  They should also know that he speaks the truth in love!  Our people sensed he was on their side and pulling for them instead of feeling someone was angry or upset with them.  Second, my choir director and I were talking this morning about Brother Cofty's particular preaching style (in complimentary fashion, of course).  In mid-conversation he said more than anything he came away from the meeting believing Brother Cofty was a man of prayer.  I believe the meeting this week bore that out.  We'll look forward to doing it again!

Brother Cofty, thanks for being such a help to this pastor and this church.  You always refresh my soul, and God has always brought you to us when we've needed a shot in the arm.  You did not disappoint, and we do appreciate and love you.

In Christ,

Pastor Mike Westmoreland

Your messages have really blessed me. I am so happy that I had the opportunity to hear you preach five times in one week. God lifted a huge burden off of my heart. Perhaps you may remember me. Just a few days ago you were at Calvary Baptist Church in New Philadelphia, Ohio. I attend that church. I greeted and thanked you several times, at which times you called me "Red", a nickname I'm proud of! The messages you preached really had a power to them, enough power to get me to go to the altar for the first time in my life and really pray to God. So many things were lifted from me at that moment, life has been much better since then

Thank you for visiting the church, you revived at least one person."

Dear Dr. Cofty,

We wish you and Lenora a very special 47th Wedding Anniversary!

No words can describe the spiritual uplifting we received hearing you preach all last week at the Pleasantville Baptist Church.  As we mentioned, we had heard you speak at the Maranatha  Baptist Church over the past several years;  but at Pleasantville we felt we really got to know you.  Thank you for the blessing of hearing God's Word through you.

Comments: Brother Cofty,

I received your e-mail over the weekend about the conference (17th Annual Conference on the Fundamentals of the Faith) & wanted to respond in kind.

My family & I thoroughly enjoyed & benefited from your ministry this past week.  We always take time as a family after the conference to discuss how the Lord spoke to us & worked in our lives during the week.  Kathie told us how that when our kids were young, she had been concerned that they would not have the opportunity to have the same type of experiences she had as a young child growing up – hearing a lot of sound, hard preaching – not just on Bible doctrines but also on how to live (in particular she thought of the old Sword conferences & the camps & youth meetings she attended) because of the size of our church & the change in times, etc.  However, she said the Lord had answered her prayers over the years by our attending the conference in Maryland.  We thought all the messages were tremendous, but she made reference in particular to the way you have addressed the way Christian ladies & gentlemen ought to conduct themselves & to dress.  We are delighted to have this reinforcement to what we have taught our children at home. It always helps young people to hear someone else (particular a preacher they look up to) say the same things their parents say.

Thank you for your ministry & your stand & your friendship over the years.

Dear Pastor Lawson and members of Faith Baptist Church

I just wanted to write a short note and thank you so much for your continued Father & Son Wildlife Banquet. I have had the honor of bringing men for 9 years.  When we return to home, all they talk about for weeks is the Banquet.  Several have accepted the Lord in salvation under Chuck Cofty's preaching and many have made a recommitment to the Lord.  I cannot express how much the men who come with me receive from the evening. Keep up the wonderful work and we love you all and the church.  May God bless you all. If there is anything we can help with or pray for let us know.

Kooky Letters Section

July 6, 2005

Dear Evangelist Cofty,

Greetings in the name of our wonderful Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I trust that this finds you and your wife well.

In visiting your website and reading over some of your literature, I had a few questions that I felt needed to be addressed before our meeting.

1.  What is your position on KJV only?  As you know, I am not a KJV only pastor. I do prefer it and use it while preaching, but I do not believe it alone is inspired.

2.  Do you feel comfortable coming to a church like ours, even though we do not hold the same position in regard to the KJV and our people are not in agreement with a KJV-only position?

3.  What is your position on BJU and on the FBFI?  As you probably know, I am a BJU alumni, as is my son, and my daughter is a senior there. I fully support BJU in every way. I am also a member of the FBFI and enjoy fellowship with fellow FBFI members.

I do not want to cause any problems, but I do feel I need to avoid any potential problems as a result of differences on these matters.  Thank you for your time and I will be looking forward to your response.

Serving the Savior,
Pastor _______________

Dr. Cofty’s Response:

Dear Mr. ___________: here is the only statement at my web site pertaining to my personal Bibliology and doctrinal position--- "Brother Cofty preaches and recommends nothing but the King James Bible. He does not simply prefer the King James Bible but believes it to be the preserved word of God for the English speaking people."

Could that statement, which has been at my web site for a very long time, have triggered your present concern about "King James Only," BJU and FBFI? I think not!  _________  I never repeat never use the term “King James Only” and believe that people who do are for the most part uninformed. I leave such verbiage to the Ruckmanites who ply their beliefs and disbelief's around the world. My belief ___________, concerning the Word of God, is a faith based position, based on the merits of the text, not on the translation. As a matter of fact I do not believe the King James Bible itself to be inspired but I do believe that the text (received text) from which it originates is inspired.

___________ your timing in this matter is very poor (unethical, unscrupulous and dishonest) as you have been sitting on this meeting for two years. I pray, for your sake, that this is not intentional as you now leave me with less than a month to attempt to rebook this meeting and we both know that an action such as that (if intentional) could not please an all wise God.

With respect to your questions of me and the possibility of having a revival meeting that would please our heavenly Father - I think you already have all the answers.  Have a nice day _________.  Amos 3:3.
