EVANGELIST CHUCK COFTY'S
2006 Meeting Reports with Pictures
(Posted 11/01/06) This is my tenth meeting here at Hunterdale Baptist, reaching over a period of some twenty years. We enjoyed the presence of the Lord yesterday as the folks of Hunterdale responded to his leadership. A young girl was saved Sunday evening and the altar, both morning and evening, filled with God's people. Pastor Vinson has been here over thirty-one years and has been a faithful warrior for old fashioned fundamentalism. He and his dear wife have kept themselves unspotted from the tremendous pulls and pushes of our time. What a blessing and inspiration to see folks still holding the line when many others have chosen the way of Baal. A dear man and his wife, both visitors, were saved on Thursday evening. Two old friends of mine, brothers that I have known for many years came to the meeting. One, a former marine, came Friday and his brother, Thursday and Friday. What a blessing that was to see them both in church. Two most unusual blessings happened during the meeting. One man confessed the Lord as his Saviour and admitted that he had been an alcoholic for over twenty years but that evening poured his booze out. Another man, also a visitor, admitted that he had been having an adulterous affair, asked God to forgive him, terminated the affair and returned to his wife. As we all know much prayer will be needed for both in order for everything to be worked out. Our God is able, Amen! Please pray with me for these men. The week has been one of great joy for God's people have responded to the Lord's message with a good degree of exuberance. The old fashioned altar has been used throughout the week and hearts touched by the Lord's presence. -CC (Posted 10/14/06) Truth Baptist is a relatively large church with wonderful and warm members. Pastor Rowley has stamped his kind and gentle spirit on these dear people. The meetings closed with several saved, scores of life changing decisions on the old fashioned altar and other decisions that only eternity will tell. We had several pastors visit the meetings, one from Massachusetts and some local. If you are ever on vacation in the Hartford area please visit Truth Baptist Church. -CC (Posted 10/10/06) Truth Baptist Church, East Hartfort, CT. - Great meeting Monday evening, large attendance, wonderful response at invitation time, one man saved. Pastor Bim Rowley started this church over twenty-one years ago and I preached for him very close to the churches start. We were in a Masonic hall for our first meetings. We had to cover the devil's eye up and all the other trappings of a lost society. God has certainly been good to this church as they are now in a beautiful building with wonderful facilities. -CC (Posted 10/09/06) Great start on Sunday, the church has two services each morning and the altar was greatly used each service. A seventeen year old girl was saved in the evening service. We can all shout "Bless the Lord" for his goodness in saving our souls, along with this precious young girl whose weeping brought us all to tears (of joy) when she realized that her sin was washed away. -CC (Posted 09/30/06) The Lord saved two more souls on the closing night of the meeting, a fourteen year old girl and an adult lady who had been raised a Pentecostal and more confused than a termite in a yo-yo. Both of these folks had been invited by members. Needless to say everyone was excited with the testimonies revealing what the Lord had so graciously accomplished in the lives of his dear people. Pastor Balance was happy beyond words and wants another meeting sometime in 2009. The Lord was so very good to us this week, nine were saved and scores of lives making decisions for change and godly living in the future. -CC (Posted 09/28/06) The Lord saved four more dear souls last evening, three adult women and one seven year old boy. Two of the ladies were visitors, one a member and the boy there with his family who are members. The message was on the peace of God which passes all understanding. The altar was once again full with God's people pouring their hearts and souls out to God. We have centered on this thought this week - we must all beg God that each of us might "hunger and thirst after righteousness" - Matthew 5:6. - CC (Posted 09/25/06) Sunday was military appreciation day and what a time we had. Two saved in the morning service and one saved in the evening. The colors were presented by an Army Color Guard, each service recognized by it's service song and all service personnel saluted. Pastor Balance and his staff certainly put on a wonderful salute to the military. The old fashioned altar, both morning and evening, was full with God's people thanking God for America and hearts cleansing themselves of habits and sin. The Lord was so very good to us this Lord's day. -CC (Posted 09/16/06) The closing Friday evening for the meetings at Great Hope Baptist Church was once again eventful. The Lord saved a Roman Catholic lady with her backslidden husband sitting beside her. He came forward and rededicated his life to Christ. Another visitor, a saved man but away from the Lord, came forward and rededicated his life also. The altar was once again used by God's dear people. The church house was almost full and God's dear Spirit was active in the hearts and lives of his people. -CC (Posted 09/14/06) Twelve young people saved this morning at Harrisburg Christian School chapel. I really enjoyed preaching for these young people, they paid attention and responded well. The administrator is an exceptionally fine man with a true heart for the kids. -CC (Posted 09/11/06) Great Hope is pastored by Pastor Dale Barrick. Pastor Barrick started the church thirty-six years ago and has been faithful to nourish it with God's dear Word. Yesterday was the thirty-sixth anniversary of the church and what a day we had. The church, a new one by the way, built in 2001, was full, and with many visitors. God saved eleven dear souls in the morning service and the altar full in the evening service. Evangelist Chuck Cremeans sang and certainly set the hearts up for the preaching of the Word of God. What a blessing it always is to see the Holy Ghost working in the hearts and lives of his people. There was hardly a dry eye (again) in the entire church. -CC (Posted 09/01/06) Two more saved last evening at Fellowship Baptist Church, Lake Wylie, SC. What a meeting we had last night. The Holy Ghost showed up and hearts were touched. I do not think that there was a dry eye in the entire church. The altar was full and God's people were dealing with God's pull on their lives. Pastor Sorrells was beside himself. What a blessing he was as his heart was encouraged. Everyone was still there fellowshipping long after the service concluded. -CC (Posted 09/01/06) Fellowship Baptist is a new church being planted in the Lake Wylie area. Fellowship is pastored by Pastor Allen Sorrells. I am presently preaching a revival for the church which began on Wednesday and will continue through Sunday (homecoming). Last night one of the member's sons was saved. This young man is seven years old and went to the pastor and informed him that was saved on the altar while praying with his father. Last night son in law and daughter, and their four children, brought a special music package which was greatly used of God. Art sang, Tracy played the piano while Artie, Rebekah and Kate played violins and Andy played the cello. God certainly set our hearts up for the preaching of the Word. -CC (Posted 08/25/06) Great news from Bible Baptist Church, New Bloomfield, PA. - Pastor God called yesterday and informed me that the teenager girl (17) that said that she did not get saved on Thursday evening came to church Sunday and asked the lady that dealt with her to speak to her again and Sunday morning Nicole got saved and came back Sunday evening and was baptized. Our God is so wonderful and now our God is Nicole's God. It just does not get any better than this. Twelve saved in all. - CC (Posted 08/25/06) Bible Baptist of New Bloomfield, PA. is pastored by Jim God. Located in the woods just less than twenty miles from Harrisburg, Bible Baptist is a thriving and wonderful house of God. Six souls were saved on Sunday, three souls saved on Wednesday and two saved on Thursday. Eleven dear souls so far and great altar calls with scores of folks doing business with God. God has certainly met with us this week. This is one of the best churches that I have preached in this year. Pastor and Mrs. God are warm, loving people as are their congregation. What a joy it has been to be here this week. -CC (Posted 08/15/06) Lifegate Baptist is pastored by Pastor Tom Martin, a Vietnam chopper pilot who also fly's life flights for the Greenville General Hospital. Great church with great folks. We had a wonderful men's meeting with fish fry and watermelon on Saturday evening which was well attended. The Sunday morning service was well attended with two dear souls getting saved, both of them were back for the evening service. Great evening service and fellowship afterwards with pizza and watermelon. Just a great Lord's day. Thank you Lord for meeting with us! - CC (Posted 08/12/06) The 32nd Jubilee Camp Meeting at Trinity Baptist Church in Wilson, NC. Concluded last evening and what a camp meeting we had. Trinity is pastored by Bob Winstead and he and his folks really put on a weeks worth of food and fellowship that will certainly go down in the history of the camp meeting as second to none. There were four of us preachers, Ronnie Simpson, Jack Tripp, Bill Behrens and myself. There were some of the best messages preached that, I personally, have ever heard. Jack Tripp's message on the "Cities of Refuge" is a classic; Ronnie Simpson's message on "Living a Large Life in a Small Place" has got to be on the list of "must hear's" and Bill Behrens message on "standards" was one of the best ever heard on that subject. Plan to come next year, the camp meeting always starts on the first full week in the month of August. There were scores of pastors, missionaries, evangelists and Christian workers in attendance. The crowd's were some of the biggest seen in several years and resulted in some very good decisions being made for godly living. The watermelon after the service each night was, as usual, delicious. The special music this year was provided by Robby Mullinax from Tabernacle Baptist Church, Greenville, SC, and what a marvelous job he did. The church choir, led by brother Spencer with his wife playing the piano was also very special. Thank you Trinity for everything. -CC (Posted 08/08/06) Great day at Emmanuel Baptist as one young boy was saved in the evening service. Emmanuel is pastored by Kevin Senn. Pastor Senn is doing a wonderful job of pastoring a church that was started by Dr. Roy Harrell many years ago. Through circumstances the church had dropped in attendance to approximately twenty or twenty-five folks but now is running seventy-five to eighty. The giving is up, the faith promise has provided raises for all thirty some odd missionaries, the visitation program reinstalled and Emmanuel appears to be on the move again. Good altar calls on Sunday and happy people in attendance. God is good! -CC (Posted 08/08/06)
(Posted 08/01/06) Grace Baptist Church is pastored by Pastor Mark Mays. Brother Mays started the church in 1988, and has struggled with having to work and no permanent location, but now fully supported by the good folks of Grace. Nevertheless Pastor Mays has carved out a great church with wonderful people. Pastor Mays has a great family, all with good bible standards. Our meeting, while not advertised as a revival, was a good week of meetings with a large number of visitors from other local churches. No one was saved but there was a number of decisions on the altar for which only eternity will report the results of. If you are in the Harrisonburg area be sure and stop by for some good, sound preaching by Pastor Mays. -CC (Posted 07/11/06) Mt. Zion Baptist church is pastored by Keith Sweitzer. Keith and his church recently moved into a new facility after years of meeting at a temporary location. What a wonderful church they now have. They bought an old Koa campground, converted the main building into a beautiful church auditorium, with Sunday school rooms, another building which was the main office building and Koa manager's live-in suite now is a great prophet's chamber while another building is a teen Sunday school building. God has certainly provided for the church under pastor Sweitzer's leadership. This past week was filled with patriotic music, an honor guard to present the colors while evangelist Bill Behrens and myself preached on America and God's great influence on this great nation. Many visitors came throughout the meeting and scores of decisions were made by these sweet folks. We know of one dear lady who was saved and presented herself for baptism. When in the area of Lancaster, PA. and visiting Amish country be sure and attend services at this great church located in the Denver, PA. area. -CC (Posted 07/11/06) Return Baptist Church is pastored by one of the finest preachers/evangelists in America, Dr. Walter Burrell. Some will remember Dr. Burrell as the camp meeting preacher in the film Sheffey. We had several saved this week and several surrender for baptism, an outpouring of the Spirit of God as folks availed themselves of the old fashioned altar, good testimonies as to what the dear Lord had done in their lives and one man testifying that he had "gotten out of the snare"....that being smoking. God bless him for giving over to God the old tobacco habit. If you are ever in North Georgia be sure and drop by this church for the music will bless you and the preaching from the old book of God convict you. Wonderful, godly people in search of God's will. What a time we had!! -CC (Posted 07/11/06) Great day on father's day at Fellowship Baptist Church, Lake Wylie, SC. Fellowship is a new church, pastored by Allen Sorrells. It was so refreshing to be with this church and its people. Three wonderful services with the evening service including a special musical package by my daughter Tracy and her four children. Pastor was pleased as the church was almost full to overflowing all day. Vacationing around Lake Wylie and need a good church to attend be sure and give pastor Sorrells a call at 603-628-6601. -CC (Posted 06/17/06) What a great week, sweet people, good response, two saved and tender close on Friday night as most of the church came to the altar for dedicatory prayer that God would use us this year; that souls would be won and lives turned around in their city. Wonderful people doing a wonderful job for old time fundamentalism. Pastor Rohnke's family, as well as his church family, were marvelous to be around. Surely God met with us this week and we will be back in 2009 for another time together. Truly a fundamental Baptist church holding the line for old fashioned religion. No Rick Warren adherents here. Praise the Lord. -CC (Posted 06/12/06) Great opening day on Sunday. Two dear ladies saved, one eighty-six years old and the other seventy-eight years old. Good altar calls both morning and evening. What a wonderful church Pastor Rohnke has here in this thriving city. The church is situated somewhat in the country and is surrounded by lush grass on rolling hills. God certainly met with us in all services as we had visitors throughout the day. Pastor Rohnke has been here eight years and is doing a wonderful job of pastoring these folks........it is easy to see why they love him so. With three sons and a sweet dear wife these folks are very fortunate to have this family. -CC (Posted 06/04/06) The next time any of you are traveling between Columbia, SC and Charlotte, NC on I-77 and you need a good fundamental church to attend then drop in at the Blythewood Baptist church of Blythewood, SC. Pastor Horst Trojahn and his family will be a blessing to your heart. Pastor Trojahn is a militant fundamentalist who is standing by the stuff. You will get feed from the old book of God and will leave there satisfied. Thank you pastor Trojahn for a great week of meetings. God had his way with all of us. I look forward to a return meeting. - CC (Posted 05/31/06) Tuesday evening was the best meeting I have experienced in some time. Pastor Trojahn and one of his men had painted large (well done and professional) signed and placed them all over the county. Well, Tuesday evening several servicemen (three of them former marine's) came and what an exciting addition this made to the service. All of these men were saved and exited about the good things of God. Uuurrraaahhh's I explained to the folks was “Amen" in marine jargon. Smile. My dear wife was in the service (always wonderful) and our daughter Tracy and her four children brought a wonderful music package for the church, three violins and one cello, as well as a piano special for the offertory. What a blessing all of this was! The Lord met with us and folks left convicted by the Word of God. Pastor was beside himself and this is always a very real joy for this preacher as I want his arms lifted and his spirit revived. -CC (Posted 05/29/06) What a day we had on Sunday. We sang all the good old songs about our wonderful country; brother Dick Sipe sang two marvelous songs, one by Kate Smith and you know what that was...yes, God Bless America! He explained as to how the war clouds were gathering and the war was about to begin. I added a little to this by way of a message about the need to "get with it now, and get with it for the Lord." we listened to the Star Spangled Banner, Pledged Allegiance to the flag and repeated "One Nation Under God" just to make all liberals mad. Servicemen wore their uniforms, presented the colors and then we ate a wonderful Memorial Day dinner. Oh by the way, we recognized all the servicemen and women and especially those who had loved one's who paid the supreme sacrifice. Liberals would have run out the back of the church. My, it's good to be a saved American and not only conservative in position but fundamental in our beliefs. Ps and we used the right Bible, you know the one with all the words of God. -CC (Posted 05/20/06) The close of the meetings on Friday night were attended by a good number of folks from other churches, two more dear souls were saved, the dear daughter of a visitor from Marysville and another older daughter of a visiting lady whose husband was deploying to Iraq. All of this was great but (to me) one of the best things that happened was the making right of an ought that had existed between two good men, the smiles that that brought were truly heartwarming and god honoring. Good decisions were made throughout the week and pastor was pleased. We have booked another meeting for 2009. Anyone out this way be sure and visit this church as it is rockrib straight and fundamental to the core and pastored by a dear man of God with a heart for the people. -CC (Posted 05/19/06) Great meetings Thursday evening with visitors from as far away as Marysville (11/2 hour drive). Great spirit in the church and best of all God saved three precious souls. A visiting man and his daughter were saved and a visiting lady whose husband is about to deploy to Iraq brought her family and her oldest daughter was saved. If we invite the lost and they come many will be saved by the power of God's dear word. Keep inviting, keep calling, keep praying and keep being faithful as it always pays off. -CC (Posted 05/16/06) Rossville Bible Church, Rossville, Kansas, pastored by Steve Gee, a great little church just West Topeka opened our spring revival on Mother's Day. We had a wonderful time as we saluted the mother's, both in the Sunday school hour, as well as the morning worship service. Monday evening was a special treat as the services consisted of four churches with two pastors in attendance. The Lord met with us and everyone left with their wagon loaded. God was so very good to us as his leading was felt by everyone. Pastor Gee was excited and that made the difference. -CC (Posted 04/29/06) What a wonderful time I have each semester at Pensacola Christian College. It is a joy to be able to, not only teach in the evangelism seminar, but to preach in chapel and church. This week I taught two, two hour sessions of the seminar, one on Tuesday and the other on Thursday. The class consists of ministerial, missions and evangelism majors. I preached in the college chapel on Tuesday and on Thursday and the campus church on Wednesday evening. A good number of students came to the old fashioned altar Wednesday evening and did business with God. It can be an overpowering experience preaching to nearly five thousand people. - CC (Posted 04/07/06) Thursday evening was again a very special evening. Two more visitors were saved, one a red headed man sitting beside a saved wife and daughter accepted the Lord and a girl of about eleven or twelve sitting in the front of the church sat weeping for want of salvation; the Lord saved her as well. What a wonderful week this has been. One more night and I can hardly wait to see what the Lord is going to do tonight. Thirteen saved - to God be the glory! We appreciate your faithful prayers. (Posted 04/05/06) Two more saved tonight. One man, a visitor, was saved and one members small boy was saved. What a night we had as the Lord so very clearly met with us. Please continue to pray. -CC (Posted 04/05/06) Tuesday evening one of the ladies saved on Sunday came back and brought two more of her children, two girls, God saved them both tonight. Praise the Lord. A visiting pastor starting a church in the area brought randy, a construction worker, that he had been witnessing to. God saved randy this evening. This is nine dear souls saved so far this week and we have three more nights to go. God is still able to save men and women even though we are living in such abominable times. If we invite the lost God will save them! Please pray for this ministry! -CC (Posted 04/04/06) Broadview Heights Baptist Church is pastored by pastor Don Barth. Brother Barth has a wonderful vibrant church full of fine looking folks. What a time we had this morning in the opening of our week of special meetings. The Lord met with us and six visitors were saved; a man, his girlfriend and her two son (both teenagers) were saved; one lady sitting beside her teenage son was also saved. Six dear souls and a wonderful altar call with the old fashioned altar full of God's dear people. We can certainly say that the Lord met with us this morning. -CC (Posted 03/25/06)
Bible
Conference: (Dr. Bill Behrens - Dr. J. Bennett Collins - Evangelist Mike Renfrow - Dr. Bob Hitchens - Dr. Chuck Cofty) Monday: the Bible Conference kicked off last evening with Dr's Bill Behrens and J. Bennett Collins. Dr. Behrens preached a classic on "How to behave in the house of God" (will be posted on my web site) and Dr. Collins brought an outstanding doctrinal message from the book of Philemon. The conference was well attended as the auditorium was almost full with a host of pastors/evangelists/missionaries. Tuesday: Dr. J. Bennett Collins preached this morning at 10:15 and I followed with a message from Psalm 63 and "David's receipt for godly living." This evening I preached on "A battle plan of Satan" and Dr. Bill Behrens preached on Psalms 73 and Christians who quit in the battle. Wednesday: Dr. Bill Behrens preached at 10:15 a message entitled "Do you know God or do you really know God?" great message on your relationship with the Lord. Dr. J. Bennett Collins preached at 11:15. Dr. J. Bennett Collins preached again in the evening along with myself. I preached on this subject, "Will the real me please stand up." Thursday: Evangelist Mike Renfrow preached from the book of Genesis and Dr. Bob Hitchens preached on godly living. In the evening Dr. Bill Behrens preached a classic on "Standards for the Christian," then I preach a message entitle "How to win and never lose." The conference closed with a great altar call, the altar was almost completely full on Thursday evening. Dr. Dickerson indicated that he thought that this conference was perhaps the best he had ever had. I was encouraged by such a comment as I too thought that the preaching was foundational and useful in the lives of those in attendance as well as for those listening via the radio and internet. - CC (Posted 03/16/06) A lady visiting last evening made a profession of faith in Christ and the church had several visitors which is always is such a blessing. The ninety year old gentleman that was saved yesterday is going to be in the services tonight. The church will see the answer to their prayers as he is already telling people via the telephone how he was saved. The Lord is good. -CC (Posted 03/14/06) Pastor Laughman and myself visited an assisted living facility this afternoon where we called on George Morrison, MIT graduate, former Lt Col in the US Army assigned with General Macarthur in the Philippines and ninety years old. Today, we led this dear man to the Lord. Oh if Christians could and would "get in on it" they would never stop witnessing for the Lord. To see and hear a dear soul accept the Lord is without doubt the most remarkable occurrence in the whole world and, one that you never forget. We left rejoicing that we were able to tell Mr. Morrison about our Saviour's love. What joy, what bliss! -CC (Posted 03/13/06) Pioneer Baptist is pastored by Pastor Fred Laughman (pronounced Lockman), is a growing body of believers planted in this Vermont town known for its liberal lifestyle. Pastor Laughman is a rockrib fundamental man with unwavering convictions. Pastor Laughman's son, josh, age twelve was saved Sunday morning. Josh had been battling for some time, saved or not saved. How very happy we are for this family. Speaking of family, the Laughman's have nine children, five girls and four sons, all of which are absolutely the cream of the crop. Godly young people, just like mom and dad. What a joy to see when so many are just the opposite in today's world. -CC (Posted 03/05/06) Great two day meeting at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. Moriah is pastored by pastor Tom Alvis who, since his ministry began some five years ago has steadily built the church into a vibrant and growing entity. Moriah is a very old and beautiful church nestled in the Virginia countryside. I preached a wild game supper Saturday evening and all day Sunday. -CC (Posted 03/01/06) Tonight I had the privilege of sitting in the audience and listening to my son, Gary, preach at Cornerstone Baptist Church. My what a great message he brought from psalms 34:1-3. I have not heard such a message of encouragement in a very long time. This message will be available on my web site. -CC (Posted 02/25/06) Fifteen saved during the week of revival services at Fellowship. One teenagers, whose mother was saved Wednesday came tonight and was saved and a twelve year old girl was also saved. Friday nights closeout brought a great altar call and rejoicing among God's people. Scores of God's people left after having made decisions for godly living. Pastor Stevenson was rejoicing, as was his church staff. We had an afterglow with the teenagers which was attended by 90% of the teens. Pizza and soda was served and I brought a short challenge. The Lord was good to us this week. We have another meeting booked in 2009. -CC (Posted 02/24/06) Lady saved on Wednesday evening at Fellowship in Fairmont, WV. This lady indicated that she had been struggling, had made professions before but tonight she said "I meant it." we are so happy for her as her children were with her and now have a new mother. -CC (Posted 02/21/06) Tonight the dear Lord met with us and three more souls were saved. One dear young woman that had been sitting in the second row had sat each service listening intently was saved; one young girl about twelve (a visitor) that came last night and came forward but decided not to be saved came back tonight and told that she was not leaving without being saved tonight and one lady sitting all the way in the back of the church was quietly saved after weeks of fighting the Lord. Oh how wonderful our dear Lord is and how exciting to be a part of his work here on earth. Again thank you for your prayers for this ministry. -CC (Posted 02/21/06) A father brought his nine year old daughter, Rebekah, to me last evening and ask her to tell me what had happened the night before (Sunday) - she said that she had been saved and just did not want to tell anyone. But when she got home she told mom and dad. Last night she and her dad stood before the church and the church came by rejoicing with them over this precious girl. How I thank the Lord for calling me into the ministry so that I may also share in these wonderful salvation stories. -CC (Posted 02/20/06) Three more dear souls were saved last evening here at Fellowship and Paul Valdez was baptized last evening. He was saved in the morning service and David, the man married to an FBI agent who was saved also Sunday is planning to be baptized soon. Folks, is there any doubt that the dear Lord is still in the soul saving business? I certainly do appreciate those of you who pray for this ministry, please keep it up! -CC (Posted 02/19/06) Fellowship is pastored by Pastor Glenn Stevenson, one of the kindest men one will ever be around. He has perhaps, one of the finest, if not the finest Christian schools in America. God saved five dear souls in the morning service; two men, one lady and two teens accepted the Lord and many on the altar doing serious business with their Lord. -CC (Posted 02/16/06) Cornerstone Baptist Church is pastored by Pastor Bo Wagner. They have purchased a beautiful acreage on top a hill overlooking the four lane highway that runs through Moorseville. They anticipate breaking ground for a new church within the month. Loans are approved and architectural plans made. The congregation is excited about "getting to work." My heating and air friend will save them close to seventy-thousand dollars by providing their needs at cost. We enjoyed a great meeting Wednesday evening service with two ladies making decisions for godly living. Keep up the good work Pastor Wagner. -CC (Posted 02/13/06)

(Posted 02/08/06) The meetings concluded this evening with Pax Baptist Church and I cannot remember when I have been as sad to see the last amen. There have been scores of decisions by both young and old, sweet testimonies, two saved and one lady joined the church. By some standards this would not be hailed as a big deal or a success for god but as one lady said when leaving......"I am going home tonight helped by God"........and I think the Lord helped many this week. The meetings were sweet meetings, with God's people dealing with sin and lives being changed. Thank you Pastor Connor and all your dear sheep for such a stirring time. I look forward to being with you again in the future. -CC (Posted 02/06/06) The meetings here at Pax River Baptist church pastored by Rick Conner started well as one man was saved in the morning and a young girl in the evening as well as one long time "visiting" lady who finally joined the church and as was preached "volunteered to have Pastor Connor pastor her." the service was graced by a good number of visitors and the altar full both morning and evening. Pastor Connor has certainly been used of God in this community of perhaps ninety-thousand people. We are looking for God to do some great things this week as there was unusual liberty and movement of his dear Spirit in the services today. -CC (Posted 01/28/06) The meetings concluded at Faith Baptist Church, North Highlands, California. Two dear souls were saved and many good decisions by God's people. Thursday evening was especially meaningful as the entire church came forward at the pastors (Mike Rodgers) request and committed themselves for godly living in the year 2006. This is a very friendly church whose folks always make one feel at home and are most appreciative for the work of the evangelist. This was my fourth meeting here since 1995. Pastor Rodgers is ably assisted by Dr. Chuck Bushey and his sweet wife who teaches school for the church. -CC (Posted 01/23/06) The revival opened this week at Faith Baptist Church of North Highlands, California, pastored by Mike Rodgers. Mike has been here for fifteen years and has accomplished much for the Lord. His church has grown under his leadership and is a thriving and well known institution in the community. One man was saved Sunday morning and the old fashioned altar used both Sunday morning and evening. -CC (Posted 01/23/06) The annual wild game supper put on by Cornerstone Indep. Baptist Church pastored by Finley Cutshaw was the best attended yet. This year the church rented the Ruritan bldg. in Oak Level, NC for the event. Most of the attendee's were from Pastor Cutshaw's church and other churches in the area. The Power Keg provided many of the prizes given away to attendee's and the food was delicious. Brother Oscar Turner cooked a venison stew in a big black pot that was the best you ever put a tooth in. No one was saved this year but a good time was had by all and everyone received the gospel message and had the opportunity to accept the Lord. -CC (Posted 01/16/06) The fifth annual wild game supper at Heritage Baptist Church was attended by between three and four hundred men and boys. The Lord saved sixteen dear souls this evening. The staff of heritage and it's men are to be commended for their hard work. Pastor Mike Edwards and his assistance pastor Mike Tangeman, certainly lined this one up right as everyone there came away with great food and wonderful prizes. -CC (Posted 01/16/06) The Lord saved nine men and boys at the nineteenth annual wild game supper at Faith (Faith Baptist Church, Waveryly, VA.). Pastor Lawson and his folks worked tirelessly in setting up this years supper. Three hundred and twenty-one attendee's were signed up. What a wonderful time was had by all. -CC (Posted 01/12/06) Great closing meeting last night. Three more saved; one man that we had been praying for, the son in law of a faithful member and two teenagers were saved. This brings to eleven saved in this small church out in the countryside. Pastor Willard and his dear church have worked, visited, called and sent out flyers and the Lord brought the folks in. Additionally all of you who pray for these meetings are appreciated. Warm regards -CC (Posted 01/11/06) Pastor Willard and the church saluted the military last evening. Many visitors were invited with all branches of the service represented. The Lord saved three more dear souls, this bring to eight the number of folks saved in this small country church. Thank all of you for your prayers for this ministry. -CC (Posted 01/09/06) Last night was parents appreciation night with a supper and gifts for the parents whose kids ride the buses. There were 110 present with 45 visitors. The Lord saved one mother and fourteen year old daughter and a sixteen year old cousin that came with them. The Lord also saved the mother of four children that were visiting. This truly is the gift that keeps on giving, the gift of God's grace through salvation. -CC (Posted 01/09/06) Harrison Bible Baptist Church is pastored by Phil Willard. Phil has pastored the church close to twenty years, they have a Christian school (with standards that are adhered to). Wonderful start yesterday as the Lord spoke to hearts both morning and evening with one teenage girl saved Sunday evening. Sunday evening was "teen night" with the buses picking up a good number of teens. The church enjoyed visitors both services. Tonight is parent appreciation night so we know that we will have lost parents in attendance. Pray with us for God to save these moms and dads. -CC (Posted 01/06/06) Well, the Lord surly met with us in this good meeting at Pastor Joe Chapman's church in Greenwood. Four more adult men were saved last evening as the meetings came to an end. The Holy Ghost of God blessed the efforts of this meeting as sixteen adults men and women were saved during the six days and scores of decisions for godly living took place on the old fashioned altar. This is a sound church, it's music is right and godly, it's people are scripturally educated and so very easy to preach to for Pastor Chapman has for thirty-eight years been feeding them the very word of God. Thank you all that pray for this ministry. Warm regards. -CC (Posted 01/03/06) Revival meetings began Sunday, New Year’s Day, at Calvary Baptist Church, Greenwood, SC. Pastored by Joe Chapman. Pastor Chapman has been the pastor of Calvary for thirty-eight years. Sunday, the church of some two hundred and sixty was filled with members as well as several visitors. The altar both morning and evening was filled with God's people and Monday evening was no different. Tuesday evening the Holy Ghost of God saved twelve dear souls, seven men and five women, all visitors. Words cannot express this preacher's innermost feelings for the goodness of God. Joy comes closest to a description of my soul tonight. What a way to start the new year off. Thanks be to our heavenly Father. Warm regards. -CC
